Day 1 – Yoga Challenge

Today was Day 1 of the 30 Yoga Challenge with Erin Motz –

What did I love about it?

It was 20 mins – which is GREAT.  Being a working single mom, this fits into my morning routine.

Erin speaks clearly and is excited to be heading the challenge.  In turn, that makes me motivated to do it!

Also, she gives you a heads up as to what area of the body the next day’s challenge will be focusing on.

[One thing I will stress – especially if you are new to yoga and are doing this challenge with me:  If you are not comfortable doing a pose, or you find it HURTS, don’t stress yourself out by attempting to do it. Go into child’s pose and find your breathing until the next pose.]

Reverse tabletop was a bit of a “eep” moment for me this morning, so I opted for bridge pose instead.

Tonight I will be meditating.  This helps me slow down my mind and sleep better.

I started out using the Silva Method App.  This is good for starting out, as it is a guided meditation and provides with helpful tools you can carry with you later.

I have moved to an App called Self.  It gives me a timer (15, 30, 45, 60 min increments) and I can add music if I wish.

Has anyone else done this yoga challenge?  If you are doing it now, what did you love or dislike about it?
